Synthetic Fabric

Find the Right Fabric for Your Application

Start with the fabric your product needs: its composition, construction, weight, width and finish. Explore polyester, nylon and spandex-blend options below, then share a specification or reference sample with Dijin Textile so we can discuss sourcing and sampling.

Rayon is also included here as a man-made fabric option. Unlike polyester and nylon, rayon is made from regenerated cellulose. Please specify the exact fibre type and blend when requesting a quotation.

Plan Your Fabric Sourcing Project

Tell us what you are making and how you want the fabric to look and feel. Send a fabric reference, target specification and quantity, and let us know whether you need a solid colour or a custom print. We will review available options and discuss samples before confirming your order.

Polyester

Looking for polyester fabric for a garment, lining or decorative textile? Start by defining the required structure and finish, rather than choosing by fibre name alone. A woven fabric and a knit can have very different drape, stretch and surface texture, even when both are labelled polyester.

What to compare: Specify 100% polyester or the full blend composition, woven or knitted construction, finished weight in GSM and usable width. A reference swatch helps communicate the desired thickness, opacity, drape and hand feel.

Colour and printing: Tell us whether you need a solid shade or a printed design. For printing enquiries, include your artwork and colour references so the proposed fabric and process can be reviewed together.

Before ordering: If moisture management, drying performance, pilling resistance or colour fastness matters for your product, provide the required test method and acceptance level. These properties should be assessed for the selected fabric, not assumed from polyester content alone.

Nylon

Discuss nylon fabric options for your clothing or accessory project with Dijin Textile. Nylon is also known as polyamide. To narrow the selection, tell us whether you need a lightweight fabric, a more structured material or a stretch blend, and describe how the finished product will be used.

Define the fabric: Provide the full fibre composition, woven or knitted construction, finished weight and usable width. Include a reference for the surface appearance, softness and opacity you want.

Match the application: For close-fitting garments, specify the required stretch and recovery. For bags or outer layers, describe the necessary strength, abrasion resistance and any coating or finish. Waterproofing and other performance requirements need to be confirmed for the specific fabric.

Review a sample: Check the colour, handle, construction and relevant test results before approving bulk production. Include your quantity per colour or design, care requirements and delivery destination in the enquiry.

Rayon / Viscose

Rayon is a regenerated-cellulose fibre, not a synthetic-polymer fibre like polyester or nylon. Viscose is one type of rayon. We include it here as a related man-made fabric option for buyers comparing materials for their next collection.

Choose the look and handle: If your project calls for a fluid drape or a soft hand feel, send a reference swatch so we can discuss suitable rayon or viscose fabric options. Specify the exact fibre composition, construction, finished weight and usable width; these details affect how the finished fabric behaves.

Plan colour or printing: Share your required shade or artwork, quantity per design and intended use. The selected base fabric and finish need to be assessed together with the proposed colouring or printing process.

Check care and stability: Discuss shrinkage, dimensional stability, colour fastness and care instructions during sampling. Any environmental or certification requirement should be supported by documentation for the particular material, rather than assumed from the fibre name.

Spandex / Elastane Blends

Spandex, also called elastane, is an elastic fibre used in stretch fabrics. For a fitted garment or another project requiring stretch, specify both the base fibre and the elastane content. The blend percentage alone does not describe the finished fabric’s stretch, recovery or support.

Define the movement: Tell us whether stretch is needed across the width, along the length or in both directions. Include your target stretch and recovery, fabric weight, opacity and desired hand feel, together with a reference sample if available.

Consider the finish: Let us know if the fabric will be dyed, printed or exposed to a heat process. The proposed fabric, finish and processing conditions should be reviewed together and checked on a sample.

Brand requirements: LYCRA® is a trademarked brand of elastane fibre, not the generic name for all spandex. If your specification requires LYCRA® fibre, state this in your enquiry so sourcing and supporting documentation can be checked. The images on this page do not establish branded-fibre content.

Discuss Your Fabric Requirements

Send your fabric specification or reference sample, intended use and quantity per colour or design. Include any artwork, testing requirements, delivery destination and target date. We will review fabric availability, sampling, minimum order quantity, pricing and lead time for your project.
